To verify if there are mapped network drives right click on the My Network Places Icon on the desktop, which will list the amount of drives the system is mapped to. To try to resolve the error during installation follow the steps below: On the machine desktop right click on the My Network Places Icon Select Disconnect Network Drives Disconnect all of the drives listed (please take a note of mapped drives for future connection) Now if you get the "Error 1327 - Invalid Drive X" error, re-add the drives that you have previously disconnected only this time change one of the drive lettering to X. Make sure that the Silk Performer install program is located on the local physical hard disk. If installing from a network drive make sure you have all of the necessary privileges to run a program installation from a network drive. Also, if the documents and settings folder is mapped to a network drive (e.g. with Roaming Domains) on the machine make sure that it is connected during the install. It may also occur if using a laptop with a removable CD drive and the CD drive has been removed. Installing the CD drive again should resolve the issue. Old KB# 19275
