Writing To an MSDE Repository: Error while writing to Repository: State:22001,Native0,Origin:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] String data, right truncation Writing To A Oracle Repository: Error while writing to Repository: State:S1000, Native:1401, Orgin:[Oracle]{ODBC][Ora] ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column. While executing a Loadtest an error was raised by the replay engine whenever a Server error, Timeout, etc. occurred. However, the error message text was longer than 254 characters, which is the limit of the field size for this value in the repository. Trying to write an error message longer that was longer than the field length caused the error. This is only an issue with SP V and an upgrade to SP5.1.1 will resolve the error The problem was resolved in 5.0.1 by amending the PERFDB.DLL so that it checked all repository field lengths. If an error message is longer than the limit of 254 characters, an event log entry is written and the message is truncated before it is written into the repository. Old KB# 19480
