If you have the option SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | RESULTS icon | MONITORING tab | USE DEFAULT MONITORING TEMPLATE enabled, then when Performance Explorer is opened it will automatically bring up 6 graphs monitoring Active Users, errors, Hits/sec, Concurrent Connections, Http Page Time, Http Page/sec. However, it is possible to have different graphs automatically appear. To do so you should follow the steps below: Create a new monitor graph by selecting FILE | NEW | MONITOR GRAPH. From the Data Source Wizard select the radio button beside "Select from predefined Data Sources". Select CUSTOM DATA | NT Performance Monitor Data. Enter the required connection parameters. Choose the measures you wish to collect and click Add. Click "Next" to confirm that this is what you wish to measure. Note: You can add all health measures to the same graph by following the previous two steps until all required information is added to the graph. Select Close on the "Browse NT Performance Counters" dialog when you have finished adding measures. On the next dialog, select all the measures you wish to display on your graph and select "Finish". You can rename your graph to reflect what is being measured by right-clicking in the bottom pane and selecting the 'Properties' option. In the dialog that appears, give your graph a meaningful name. You will be able to see your graph displayed with the default monitoring graphs If you wish to use this workspace as the template for your tests, you should save the workspace, and in the Silk Performer workbench go to SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | RESULTS icon | MONITORING tab. Select the radio button beside "Use custom monitoring template" and select the "..." button to browse to your saved workspace template. The new template will be used the next time you run your test.
