Wiki Page: CitrixConnectIcaData CitrixEngine: 6 - Connect failed when running from Windows Task Scheduler

When trying to schedule a Citrix load test using a batch file and Windows Task Scheduler the test runs fine when double clicking the batch file but when the batch file is executed through Windows Task Scheduler the load test results in error CitrixConnectIcaData(CitrixEngine: 6 - Connect failed). In Task Scheduler there is an option on the general tab of the task properties which determines whether the task should be run only when the user is logged on or whether the user is logged on or not. Choosing the option to run when user is logged on or not will force the task to start the processes within session zero of the operating system.  Citrix process wfcrun32.exe has a compatibility issue with session zero and this is the underlying cause of the issue. This issue occurs in Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008 operating systems and onward.  These operating systems have a feature called session zero isolation which prevents services from elevation of privileges exploits.  If no user is logged on and a service or process needs to run it runs in session zero.  A logged on user runs in session one.  If a service needs to be able to operate whether a user is logged on or not then it will run in session zero by default.   The solution is to select the run only when user is logged on option.  This limitation exists between Windows and Citrix - Silk Performer is not directly affected.
