Hi. So, just to confirm - the background app is not in the browser or in a browser window or any other process spawned by the browser? If so, you have 2 options. 1. Use a normal web/HTTP protocol project. For this you need to Identify the process and protocol used by the background app and create a new Silk Performer recorder profile to listen for that traffic. There's a video here showing how you can add new profiles - www.youtube.com/watch . The video shows the process for Firefox but the theory is the same for your own app. You can used a tool such as process explorer to find the process Silk Performer needs to listen for. You can use wireshark or your developers to determine which protocol it uses. Now you should have two Silk Performer recorder profiles, one for IE and one for you background app. Now try recording via the usual method. 2. Gui-Level testing. If the above approach is not feasible you can record your test scenario with Silk Test and have Silk Performer replay those actions. Please see the link in my previous post for more details about Gui-Level testing. Best regards, Ciaran.
