In Silk Performer 16.0 Windows 2003 is only supported for Agent installation, and is not supported as a Controller. The Release Notes for Silk Performer 16.0 states the following under the System Requirements section: Operating System Requirements A Silk Performer Controller installation requires Windows Vista or newer. A Silk Performer Agent installation requires Windows 2003 or newer. The settings Latency and Packet drop (used to configure network emulations) are not supported for Windows 2003 and Windows 2003 R2. Windows XP is not supported. So, as per the second point, Windows 2003 can be used for an “Agent Only” version of Silk Performer 16.0, but not the full installation. In July 2015 Microsoft will be ending support for Windows 2003. This means that from Silk Performer 16.5 onwards support for Windows 2003 will be removed completely, so neither Controller or Agent installation will be supported on Windows 2003.
