Why am I unable to execute multiple GUI-Level virtual users on a SilkPerformer Agent installed on Windows XP? In order for a "Terminal Session" to be opened when executing a GUI-Level loadtest; the SilkPerformer MMC or Agent software can only be installed on Windows Server Edition (2000 or 2003). If you attempt to execute 1 or more virtual users within a Terminal Service Session from a SilkPerformer Agent installation running on Windows XP then you will typically encounter the following error message: StInitSession(GUI-Level Testing Replay: 10 - Virtual user information, SilkTest Connection timeout reached It is worth noting however that it is possible to execute a single virtual user running as a "Console Session" from a SilkPerformer Agent running on Windows XP. For example consider a scenario in which you had access to 10 Windows XP Agent machines for a loadtest; in this scenario it would be possible to run a 10 virtual user loadtest where each virtual user runs as a "Console Session" on each individual machine. To take advantage of this feature you will need to enable the check box named "Allow usage of console session on agents" in SilkPerformer by going to "SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | GUI-LEVEL TESTING | GENERAL | SESSION SETTINGS". To find out about the differences between a Terminal Session and a Console Session then please view the resolution: When replaying a GUI Level BDF script what is the difference between running as a console session and a terminal server session?
