The reason why the 'Could not create AppLauncher' message is rendered when opening Silk Performer 2011 is because of the absence of a specific Registry Key. During the installation of Silk Performer, the following keys are written to the registry of your system: 32 Bit Operating System: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Silk\SilkAppLauncher\SilkPerformer\8.3\ InstallPath 64 Bit Operating System: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Silk\SilkAppLauncher\SilkPerformer\8.3\ InstallPath With the failure of the installer to write these Registry Keys the 'AppLauncher' message is displayed.
