For the Silk Performer recorder to select an XPath locator for a DOM element, the XPath locator must meet certain factors, one of which is the length of the value assigned to the attribute used within the locator string must be no more than 20 characters in length. If the value exceeds this length (20 characters), then the recorder will move on and select another XPath locator which includes a different attribute and value.
