By default the Java Explorer does not allow you to view the HTTP response when running a test against a Web Service. Therefore as an alternative you can use the SilkPerformer Recorder to capture the Server Response; this can be done as follows: 1) Within SilkPerformer set up an application profile by going to: (SETTINGS | SYSTEM | RECORDER | APPLICATION PROFILES) and adding a new profile for Java. You should select "Custom Application" for the Application type and "Web" from the Protocol. Your Application Profile should then look something like the following: There may be multiple java.exe's. Therefore it is important that the Application Profile should match the Java executable used in Java Explorer (TOOLS | PROJECT SETTINGS | RUNTIME). 2) In SilkPerformer select "RECORD | RECORDER" before invoking and then running the test in the SilkPerformer Java Explorer. 3) After you have saved the recording you can view the HTTP response by going to the "in-hdr" tab of the recorded Truelog Explorer XLG file.
