The Silk Performer System Settings and the Active Profile settings, offer the same Java configuration options. The difference is that the system setting (SETTINGS | SYSTEM | JAVA) is used as a template for new projects. Once you specify your Java path under the system settings this will be copied to the Active Profile (SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | JAVA) for all future projects. This therefore means that if you have a current open project and you then specify the Java settings in the system settings dialog (SETTINGS | SYSTEM | JAVA), the settings will not take effect until you open a new project. To avoid this you could specify the system settings before opening a project or specify the Java settings in an already open project using the active profile settings (SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | JAVA).
