Silk Performer does not have built-in support for native Lotus Notes traffic, i.e. Silk Performer cannot act as a Lotus Notes client accessing a Lotus Notes database, because of the propriety protocols involved. However Lotus Notes can be load tested in the following ways: Use SilkPerformer's Web support to test the Domino Web/Application Server Use SilkPerformer's SMTP/POP support to test email servers. Create an ODBC driver for a Lotus Notes database. The following article shows details on how to do this: http://www.techrepublic.com/article/application-integration-create-an-odbc-connection-to-a-lotus-notes-database/ You can then use SilkPerformer ODBC support to record and replay queries on the database. NOTE: Since the introduction of GUI-level testing in SilkPerformer 2006 Release 2, it may be possible to loadtest applications that are not supported by Silk Performer on the protocol or API-levels by recording on the GUI level. Please refer to the GUI-Level Testing Support section in the Silk Performer Help file.
