Move the slider to never notify. 3. Click OK. Disabling Interactive login If interactive login is enabled then Silk Performer has no way to broker the connection to the session. Click on start, admin tools, local security policy. Click on local policy | security options. Ensure the message text and message title is set to blank or not defined. Installing the Terminal Services Remote App Manager. Click on Manage server Add role Choose remote desktop services Select remote desktop session host and remote desktop licensing Click next. Choose “do not require network level authentication” and click next. Choose to “configure licensing later” and click next. Click install. Once complete you will be prompted to restart the machine. Now that the restart is complete you can see that the remote desktop services role has been added to the server and the required services are now installed. Enabling Remote Desktop within Windows Click on Start, right click on Computer, and choose properties and then remote settings. Ensure allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop is selected. Allow RDP users to launch applications remotely. a) Navigate to Administrative Tools > Remote Desktop Services > TS RemoteApp Manager. b) Click Change next to RD Session Host Server settings. c) In the Access to unlisted programs group box, check the check box Allow users to start both listed and unlisted programs on initial connection. d) Click OK. Allow RDP users to run multiple sessions. 1. Navigate to Administrative Tools > Terminal Services > Terminal Services Configuration. 2. Double-click Restrict each user to a single session. The Properties dialog box displays. 3. Uncheck the checkbox Restrict each user to a single session. 4. Click OK. Configuring Remote Desktop Settings 1. navigate to Start > ... > Administrative Tools > Remote Desktop Services > Terminal Services Configuration. In Windows 2008 R2, navigate to Start > ... > Administrative Tools > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. 2. Right-click Remote Desktop Protocol-TCP (RDP-Tcp) in the Connections list. 3. Select Properties from the context menu. 4. Click the General tab. • Verify that the Security layer is set to RDP Security Layer. • Verify that the Encryption level is set to Low. • Verify that all other settings are either unselected or left blank. 5. Click the Log on Settings tab. 6. Verify that the Always prompt for password check box is not checked. 7. Click the Sessions tab. 8. Verify that Override user settings is selected and that End a disconnected session is set to 1 minute. 9. Verify that all other settings are either unselected or left blank. 10.Click the Environment tab. 11.Verify that Run initial program specified by user profile and Remote Desktop Connection or client is selected. 12.Click the Remote Control tab. 13.Verify that Use remote control with default user settings is selected. 14.Click the Network Adapter tab. 15.Verify that All Network adapters configured with this protocol is selected in the Network adapter list. 16.Click OK. Connecting to a license server Click start, admin tools, remote desktop services, remote desktop licensing manager. By default the localhost will be listed. Go to actions | connect | enter the host name of the license server. Once loaded the server will show its available client access licenses. When initial configuration is complete you can test that the license server is providing cals by opening up several sessions to the machine at one time. Click on START| ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS | REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES | REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES MANAGER. Click on sessions. Now open up several remote desktop sessions from another machine and you should see the active sessions appearing.
