This setting is found under SYSTEM CONFIGURATION MANAGER | IP ADDRESS MANAGER| ADAPTER. This scenario will occur if the agent"s service is not the same version as the Silk Performer controller. For example, if you are using a controller with Silk Performer 6.6 and 7.0 installed, and are trying to configure an agent with only Silk Performer 6.6 installed, then you are unable to see the network card on the agent. For the network card to be visible, the Silk Performer agent service must be the same version as the controller service that is accessing it. The reason for this is that the controller"s System Configuration Manager, and its counterpart agent version, make use of the same protocol version. If, between new product versions, the protocol is extended or modified, an older version may not be able to respond to a newer one. When multiple copies of Silk Performer are installed on the machine, the latest version release (e.g. 6.6, 7.0) will be the version of System Configuration Manager that is used by the machine.
