If SilkPerformer"s Recorder encounters a redirection (HTTP 302, HTTP 407) from one URL to another it will automatically add comments into the script. While this is not usually an issue, the number of redirections, especially when accessing a site using NTLM or Kerberos authentication, can often be quite high. These are caused by the challenge-response mechanisms used for authentication. SilkPerformer by default will take note of each one and this can make recorded scripts unnecessarily long. It is possible to configure SilkPerformer so that these redirection comments are not scripted. This can be done from: SETTINGS | ACTIVE PROFILE | (RECORD) | SCRIPT | PROTOCOLS Unchecking the option "Redirection / Authentication" will stop the recorder from adding the comments into the script.
