When installing dynaTrace agent on a 64bit OS for a java based application you may receive the following error upon starting the java application under test. Error occurred during initialization of VM. Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory: dtdagent This will occur if you are working with a wrong version of dynatrace agent, i.e. you have installed 64 bit agent version while your java application is 32bit. For example, on a solaris 64bit operating system it is possible that you can run both 32bit and 64 bit applications. Therefore, even if your operating system is 64 bit but your application is running on a 32 bit JVM then you will need to ensure that the dynatrace agent installed is the 32bit version and not 64 bit version.
