This message is generally displayed when no valid connection has been established with the machine you are trying to monitor. When choosing the data sources in SilkPerformer"s Monitor Server, ensure you enter the correct login credentials for connecting to that machine. An easy way to test your login is by browsing to this machine in Network Neighborhood and clicking on the server your are trying to monitor then entering valid login credentials. If your login credentials allow you to log into that machine then use these in the Data Sources dialog of Monitor Server. This message can be caused by the selection of the wrong Operating System Perfmon during System Selection. For example, if you select the Operating system - NT4.0 perfmon to monitor a Windows 2K system, you will get the "measure inactive - data collection stopped" error for Processor % time and Interrupts/sec. The correct Operating system must always be selected.
