In order to use the "decompile" menu options you first need to ensure that you are viewing a live session. If you are viewing a live session and can only see the "Decompile Source Code" option then further action will be required to enable the other menu options, "Decompile Byte Code", "Decompile mixed" and "Save Byte Code" . The options to "Decompile Byte Code", "Decompile Mixed" and "Save Byte Code" are only available if the JAD decompiler is installed. The default decompiler which is distributed with dynaTrace Diagnostics does not support these functions which is why these options are not available. dynaTrace do not have the right to distribute JAD but you can download it and use it with dynaTrace diagnostics. Note : The JAD decompiler can be used freely for personal needs in a commercial or non-commercial environments. Steps to download and configure the JAD decompiler are as follows: Download the JAD decompiler for your platform from Why do I not have the "decomplile" menu options in the "contributors" tab of the PurePath view in dynaTrace Diagnostics? . Select the appropriate platform which matches the platform where the dynaTrace Diagnostics Client is running. Put the unzipped binary into the /bin directory of where the dynaTrace Diagnostics client is running (default location: "C:\PROGRAM FILES\DYNATRACE DIAGNOSTICS X.X\BIN"). Restart the dynaTrace Diagnostics Client. Reselect the Source Lookup menu option on the same method and the addtional menu choices will now be displayed. Note : You do not need to restart the system under diagnosis nor the dynaTrace Diagnostics Server. This functionality is local to the dynaTrace Diagnostics Client. dynaTrace Diagnostics v2.5.x does not provide decompilation for .NET IL code.
