Wiki Page: Why is my CSV data changed through the SilkPerformer Graphical User Interface when I click OK to close the file without making changes?

There is a known issue in SilkPerformer 2007 and 2008 where a data file is opened in CSV format within SilkPerformer and then closed by clicking the OK button, this causes the data to be changed slightly. Modifying the file in SilkPerformer causes problems in regard to how some encapsulation characters, i.e.", are handled. A simple solution is to modify the file outside of SilkPerformer. Note: the CSV file contents can still be viewed within SilkPerformer by opening the file and using the cancel button to close it again. However changes cannot be made to the file as these require the OK button to be clicked and this is where the issue lies.
