With the introduction of Silk Performer 7.1 it is possible to set the Default Value Settings in .Net Explorer for all projects. To do so please follow the steps below; If .NET Explorer is running, close the application. Browse to your .NET Explorer installation directory with Windows Explorer. Locate the file called netexplorer.xml and open it with a text editor of your choice. Locate the node within the node. If it doesn"t exist, you need to create it (see sample below). Edit or create the following nodes to set the system-wide default values: value: Where value must be an integer, for example 5, 111. value: Where value must be either true or false. value: Where value must be of type double, for example 1.11, 12.5. value: Where value must be a string, for example account balance, test. Save the file and start .NET Explorer. The values you just defined will now be used as default values for all projects for which you didn"t define project-wide default values. During startup .NET Explorer reads these settings (if defined) and uses them as default values. This allows a user to have system wide default settings instead of project wide. For Silk Performer version 7.0 is it necessary to request a patch from Technical Support to allow this behaviour. Please contact Support and quote this resolution id. Old KB# 17974
