Before beginning a large Cloud based test you should always use the latest version of Silk Performer and ensure the connection settings are set as per the screenshot: Recommended Settings for CloudBurst Tests High numbers of virtual users and Silk Performer agents may stress the controller-agent communication. To keep the communication load for the controller low, use the following settings: Adjust Remote Agent Connection Settings to WAN or Custom Connect: 120 seconds Command: 60 seconds Ping Interval: 60 seconds Set display update setting in Workbench’s Monitor Pane to 60 seconds or manual NOTE: These settings don‘t influence any results – just the refresh rate of the controller display Uptime for agents Consider enough start up time if you use many agents It may take 20min for 100+ agents until all agents are up and running Results collection may take more than one hour after the load-test completed for huge result sets - consider this time when you start agents with a time limit Don’t stop agents before all results are collected! Recommended agent maximum is 175 agents per controller If you need more agents use an additional controller. Results can be merged after the load-test Also consider the advice in the following article: Advice on configuring Controller / Agents before running a large load test
