There is a known issue in Silk Performer 2008 where some Japanese characters captured during Recording, are not displayed correctly in the bdf Script. This might result in different values being posted to the server during Script Replay, than were sent during the Recording, which might lead to errors during Script Replay. However, in the case reported to Borland Technical Support, the script replayed successfully. For example; in the image below t he "event" parameter used in FORM 2016 contains a character affected by this issue: The Japanese character highlighted in the red circle is not recognised by Codepage 932, so it cannot displayed properly by Silk Performer 2008. Workaround: R eplace the "event" value recorded in the Script with it"s hexadecimal representation, as follows: "event" := "\hE7A4BEE58685E4BC9AE8ADB0", // "セ蜀・シ夊ュー", // added To convert Unicode Japanese characters to their hexadecimal representation, you can use the Unicode/Hex String Convertor found under the tools menu on the Silk Performer Workbench. Select the codepage related to the character you wish to convert, and paste the character into the "Unicode Representation" text area to display it"s hexadecimal representation, as follows:
