This error can be caused by a conflict with the software eFax Messenger Plus . To investigate use the freeware tool Process Explorer - from www.sysinternals.com to identify the problem software, as follows:- Open SilkPerformer Open Process Explorer | VIEW | SELECT COLUMNS | DLL Tab - select PATH Click on the performer.exe Sort the DLLs by PATH column and look for "foreign" DLLs.The paths should only contain something similar to:" C:\WINNT\system32C:\Program Files\Segue\SilkPerformer 6.5C:\WINNT\Registration In the example quoted above eFAX will cause the following additional DLL"s to be loaded:- " C:\Program Files\eFax Messenger Plus\hspfcw32.dllC:\Program Files\eFax Messenger Plus\hotres32.dll It will be necessary to deinstall the conflicting software to run SilkPerformer successfully, renaming the conflicting DLL"s may also resolve the issue however this could leave the software nonoperational.
