The Overview report "Duration of simulation" time is often longer than the predefined Simulation time. This is dependent on the Workload model and Profile Simulation settings, e.g. "Complete current transaction", "Call End Transaction". However there is a known issue in SilkPerformer when scheduling a loadtest in the future which results in the "Duration of simulation" reported in the Overview report totaling the "Simulation time" in the Workload configuration wizard and the "Start time" off-set. This affects all loadtests scheduled to start in the future using either Relative or Absolute time. For example a 2 minute load test started immediately will show a "Duration of simulation" of approximately 2 minutes as expected (depending on profile settings etc). However the same loadtest with a 5 minute off-set Start time will return a "Duration of simulation" of 7 minutes. This is the scheduled 2 minutes plus the 5 minute off-set. This issue will be fixed in a future release. As a workaround it is possible to use the Performance Explorer remerge wizard to alter the TSD results file, this allows the TSD to be modified to include only the portion of the test where active users are executing. For further details on using the remerge wizard please consult the Performance Explorer User Guide (the guide can be found in Help). Old KB# 17099
